Refund policy

This policy is issued by SURMANTRA LLP, which owns and operates Surmantra. Please read it carefully before placing your order.

Important Notice

Every Surmantra song is a personalised service that we start working on the moment you order. You can cancel within 10 minutes of placing your order for a full refund. After 10 minutes, orders cannot be cancelled and no refund is given. If your song isn’t right, we make it right with a free swap and the revisions included in your package.

1. Cancellation Policy

Within 10 Minutes of Placing Your Order

  • Full refund, no questions asked
  • Email us at hello@surmantra.com with your order number within 10 minutes of placing the order
  • Refund processed within 5-7 business days

After 10 Minutes

  • The order cannot be cancelled. Work on your song begins as soon as you order.
  • No refund is given, in full or in part, except in the two cases in section 3.
  • This applies to every package and every add-on.

2. Revision Policy (Instead of Refund)

Instead of refunds, every order comes with ways to make the song right.

Free swap on every package: within 7 days of delivery, you can swap your song for an alternate version at no cost.

  • The Song: free swap. An Extra Revision add-on can be bought with the order, for Rs 249 (US$25 outside India).
  • The Keepsake: free swap and 1 song revision.
  • The Spotlight: free swap and 2 song revisions.

Each revision takes up to 72 hours. Ask for swaps and revisions on your Studio Pass.

7-Day Revision Window

All swap and revision requests must be made within 7 days of receiving your song. After this, the window closes and no more revisions can be requested. Revisions can't be bought separately after the order is placed.

What Revisions Cover

  • Name pronunciation corrections
  • Minor lyric adjustments
  • Tempo/speed changes
  • Volume adjustments
  • Small additions or removals

What Revisions Do NOT Cover

  • Complete song rewrites
  • Change of genre or music style
  • Change of artist/voice
  • Adding additional minutes to song length
  • Changes due to incorrect information provided by customer

3. The Only Two Cases Where We Refund After 10 Minutes

  • Duplicate or wrong charge: if you were charged more than once, or charged the wrong amount, for the same order, we refund the extra amount.
  • Not delivered: if we fail to deliver your song within 7 days of the promised delivery time because of a problem on our side, we refund the order in full.

4. No Refund Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided for:

  • Any cancellation or refund request made more than 10 minutes after placing the order
  • Change of mind
  • Dissatisfaction with artistic interpretation (use your free swap or revisions instead)
  • Incorrect information provided in order form
  • Failure to use the song for intended occasion
  • Third-party recipient not liking the song
  • Requests made after revision window (7 days) expires

5. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund:

  • Email us at hello@surmantra.com with subject "Refund Request"
  • Include your order number and reason for refund
  • Our team will review within 24-48 hours
  • If approved, refund processed within 5-7 business days

6. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-7 business days
  • UPI: 3-5 business days
  • Net Banking: 5-7 business days

7. Grievance Officer

If you are not satisfied with how we handled a complaint, you can write to our Grievance Officer:

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
