I came across a fascinating article in Parenting magazine under ‘Child Development.’ It tells you about 7 surprising skills to be a good toddler mom. I could especially connect with the last one on friendship. Yes, I see that more and more in my 16 month old. He wants me to be a part of his whimsical, fun world where walking on your knees is normal, making funny sounds is fun and clowning around is a serious hobby. He loves it when I get down on my knees and just monkey around with him. He joins right in, screaming with delight. We’re like two friends who speak the same language, even though one has a 14 word vocabulary. What better way to recharge your batteries, after a long day at work?
